I'm really excited photographing my first wild Grizzly bears. We are all safely at a distance, using our telephoto lenses.
The Salmon were returning to their birthplace to spawn.

The salmon keep swimming upstream, to reach their birthplace to spawn.
Two years after they are born, the salmon are programmed to return to the stream of their birth.
The Bears are waiting.
The cubs are beginning to understand fishing.
Momma bear needs to pack on weight to survive hibernation.
The bears will eat continually, to add weight to survive the winter.
Each bear has their own way of catching salmon.
